Club Song

The traditional song that is sung after a St George victory is an abridged version of the full song and goes as follows,

We’re the Saint George Boys, the Dragons
A team of always do or die
Of victory we will always be assured
When for the ball the big men fly
And when the final bell is over
That’s the time we celebrate
Oh, Dragon’s always stick together
We’re happy club forever
We are the good old red and white

Like the National Anthem there are two versus to the full song, no one knows all the words and no one sings the right ones anyway. The full version is,

We’re the Saint George boys, the Dragons
A team of always do or die
Of vicoty we will always be assured
When for the ball our big men fly
And we’ve the spirit to fight on with
When the final bell rings out
We play the game with dash and courage
Fair and rule abiding
We are the good old red and white

We’re the Saint George boys, the Dragons
The Premiership is our main aim
To top the ladder and win the flag
So as to bring our district fame
And when the final bell is over
That’s the time we celebrate
Oh, Dragon’s always stick together
We’re happy club forever
We are the good old red and white
